Bayern Munich and Barcelona reach an agreement for Lewandowski for 50 Million Euros?

The saga finally to end?

According to the German media, Barcelona are expected to make a final offer to Bayern Munich in order to sign the sensational striker Robert Lewandowski. The Spanish giants have been following and trying to complete this deal all summer after the Polish striker announced that he wanted to leave Bayern and wanted to join Xavi’s team. But since his announcement the German club have been reluctant to let Lewandowski go at any cost, however now that player is entirely disinterested to play for their club again and not sign a new contract, it seems likely that the board might accept this situation and sell him for a good fee.

And if they agree to sell him, it is reported that Bayern would be asking a sum of at least 50-55 million Euros in order to let the striker go. Now that is a figure that Barcelona are finally prepared to meet. Apart from the saga of Lewandowski, Bayern are looking to sign the Juventus center back Matthijs De Ligt and the cash from the Lewandowski sale could help the German club to finance a move for the Dutchman as it is expected to cost around 80 Million Euros. Meanwhile, Lewandowski has returned to training with his team but every time that he turned up for it, he has been late and this was not appreciated by the coach. All this shows that he has lost the motivation to play for the Bundesliga side.

Bayern and Barcelona would need to agree on a deal soon as the pre-season is starting and the coaches of both teams want this situation to be resolved as quickly as possible so that they can make their strategies for the new season accordingly. Despite the German club already securing the services of Sadio Mane from Liverpool, the departure of Lewandowski would be a huge blow, especially given his status as he is the club’s second all-time top scorer. All in all, it would be interesting to see where this transfer saga goes.
