“What did the other 10 players do?” Bhajji minces no words on 2011 WC triumph

Earlier last year, Gautam Gambhir too reflected on the need to celebrate the entire team's endeavour for 2011 WC victory

India’s 2011 World Cup victory remains one of the most memorable events in the history of cricket. After the 1983 WC win, MS Dhoni and his troops, therefore, broke the 28-year long wait against Sri Lanka in the iconic Wankhede stadium. No doubt, the WC win was a decade-defining moment for Indian cricket. Yet a lot of debate has done the rounds in the past few years about attributing the entire credit for the unforgettable victory to skipper MS Dhoni.

“High time you hit your obsession for a SIX” GG’s tweet that broke headlines last year

Gautam Gambhir an unsung hero of the 2011 WC winning squad played an incredible knock of 97 in the finals. He turned the tide in favor of India in the high octane run chase. Last year, GG created a wide stir on the anniversary of the 2011 WC victory while responding to a post featuring Dhoni’s match-winning 6 in the summit clash.
