Top 10 best Bowling Figures in the IPL

Sohail Tanvir is the only Pakistani player in this list, with a figure of 6/14 in the 2008 IPL edition

IPL is a batter’s game. Short boundaries, field restrictions, favorable rules, and fans’ affection towards the batters. But as the cliché says ‘Batters will win a game for you while bowlers will win the tournament. Perhaps that is 100 % correct. Bowlers do find it hard to survive, but they are striving nonetheless. Let’s look at the top 10 best bowling figures in the IPL.

List of Players with the best bowling figures in IPL of all time

10. James Faulkner

James Faulkner, the Aussie T20 specialist picked 5 wickets in 4 overs and conceded just 16 runs. These numbers take him to number 10 in the list of all-time best bowling figures in IPL. He was the backbone of the Rajasthan Royals during his time at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. He played as a genuine all-rounder and rescued Rajasthan many times out of dire situations.

9. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja, the allrounder from CSK bowled a tight spell of 4 overs giving just 16 overs, and claimed five scalps. This is the 9th best bowling figure in the IPL. Jadeja over the years has only got better and better, not only with a bowl in hand but with a bat too.

8. Andre Russell

Andre Russell, an interesting name here, had a very interesting spell of 2 overs against Mumbai Indians in the 2021 IPL where he took 5 wickets in just 12 balls. He did grant 15 runs, but who cares when he picked 5 wickets in 12 balls. Well, his slower balls were slowed down even further thanks to the track of Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

7. Ankit Rajpoot

Ankit Rajput does feature at number 7 as he had figures of 4-0-14-5 against SRH in 2018. The numbers seem to be even better when you come to know the economy of the spell was just 3.50. Ankit Rajpoot was the spearhead of Punjab’s bowling attack in the IPL 2018.
