Virat Kohli posts an interesting ‘Perspective’ tweet amid growing talk over his run drought

In India's ongoing tour to England, Kohli has performed poorly with the bat.

The hottest topic in the cricket world these days is Virat Kohli and his struggle for scoring runs. Former Indian Skipper Virat Kohli is going through the leanest patch of his career at the moment. While the wait for the 71st century has been for quite a while now. His last century came on 22nd November 2019. But this year has been the worst in his career so far as he has barely managed to stay at the crease for long.

In India’s ongoing tour to England, Kohli has performed poorly with the bat. He scored 11 and 20 in the fifth and rescheduled the Test match against England before scoring 1 and 11 in the two T20Is he played on the tour. Kohli, who missed the first ODI against England due to a groin strain, was dismissed for a 25-ball 16 in the second ODI. Kohli’s recent failures saw him facing flak from the fans and former cricketers. In fact, Indian cricket legends Kapil Dev and Virender Sehwag have raised questions over his place in the national side.

Amid the scrutiny, Virat Kohli on Saturday (July 16) posted a cryptic tweet, featuring his picture beside a wall which had a message

“What if I fall. Oh but my darling, what if you fly.”

“Perspective,” Kohli wrote in the caption.

Replying to Kohli’s post, Kevin Pietersen said:

“You go big guy! People can only dream what you’ve done in cricket. And they’re some of the best players that have played the game.”

Kohli will be seen in action on Sunday(17th July) in the third and final ODI against England at the Old Trafford, Manchester. The visitors will be looking for clinching the series which is presently levelled at 1-1. And Virat’s help would be a great sight for cricket fans.
