Virat Kohli score 8000 runs in Test on the 100th Test
The first session started really well for India as Mayank Agrawal and skipper Rohit Sharma opened the innings. Fierce and powerful batting by both batters gave India a head start. However, both of them returned back to the pavilion soon. India stood 109 with a loss of 2 wickets, after the first session. However, Hanuma Vihari who was looking in great form today, along with Kohli continued to put runs on board for India. Both of them were playing well-timed and placed shots, taking the necessary singles every now and then.
Hanuma completed his fifty, and it seemed Virat Kohli would quickly follow. With a single, Virat reached the 8000 runs mark in Test cricket. He becomes only the 6th Indian to achieve the feat.
