The 15th edition of IPL saw a tough tussle between two speedsters – GT’s premier pacer Lockie Ferguson and the SRH prodigy Umran Malik. On the final night of the T20 carnival, Ferguson clicked 157.3 Kmph to surpass Umran Malik’s 157 Kmph mark to bowl the fastest delivery of the season.
Both Ferguson and Malik have constantly been at loggerheads in their pace battle and it was the Kiwi thunderbolt who finally settled the score. It was against the Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler in his last delivery of his first over when Ferguson steamed in to build pressure.
In the list of fastest deliveries being bowled in IPL history, the Titans fast bowler is only behind Australian top-gun Shaun Tait who had bowled a 157.75 Kmph ripper back in IPL 2011 against Aaron Finch.
