In the ICC T20I rankings released on Wednesday, India skipper Rohit Sharma moved up to 14th spot. While Suryakumar Yadav fell one spot to land in fourth place among batters. Following a 41-ball 72 against Sri Lanka on Tuesday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in an Asia Cup Super 4 encounter, Rohit (612 rating points) moved up three ranks. Interestingly, Mohammad Rizwan (815 rating points), the Pakistani keeper batter, has surpassed his captain Babar Azam. Rizwan topped the ICC T20 batters ranking surpassing Babar Azam with 794 points.
Rizwan has scored 192 runs in three matches in the Asia Cup. He is the leading run-getter in the tournament so far. Suryakumar (775 rating points), except for his spectacular 68 off just 29 balls against Hong Kong, could not replicate his performance against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the critical games. After reaching 60 against Pakistan, former Indian skipper Virat Kohli rose to 29th place.

Pandya retains 5th spot, Ashwin advances
Promising pacer Arshdeep Singh and veteran spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin advanced. They moved up to 28th and 8th positions, respectively, from 50th and 62nd. Hardik Pandya remained at the fifth spot in the all-rounder’s chart. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka has gained one spot to be placed at number eight, after notching up scores of 20, 35, and 52. The 24-year-old also made 52 off 37 balls to help his side beat India in a Super Four match on Wednesday.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, an Afghanistan batsman, moved up 14 spots to number 15. After scoring 84 against Sri Lanka in the Super Four match. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi (256 rating points) and Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood (792 rating points) are at the top of the bowling and all-rounder rankings, respectively
