Talking of India’s current Test deputy, he is maintaining great rhythm with the bat in the ongoing Test between India and South Africa. Rahul bagged all the attention after scoring a ton in the first Test match against South Africa.

“It is truly special, every hundred really takes something out of you and gives you joy. There are so many emotions you go through when you score a hundred. You bat for 6-7 hours, those are the kind of innings that stand out and as players, we really cherish these. This is what is expected out of me. Once I got off to a good start, I started enjoying my batting and I did not think too far ahead.”

And after that announcement, Rohit pulled his hamstring after some days. Though, he was ruled out of the three-match Test series against South Africa. Rohit is currently gaining his fitness at NCA but his participation in the ODIs is not sure yet. It will be a great opportunity for KL Rahul to lead the Indian side if Rohit doesn’t get fit on time.
