A must win match for the knight riders!! The 49th match of the IPL 2021, scheduled at Dubai International Stadium was between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR would be hoping to seal the victory in their name so that they can qualify for the playoffs. Impressive bowling from KKR as they restricted SRH to only 116 runs. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, making it difficult for SRH to put up a decent score. Although through difficulty, KKR chased down the target and won the match. To begin with the match, SRH won the toss and chose to bat first. However things didn’t turn out to be in their favor. The batting order was a bummer, none of the batter was able to set himself. The highest score was just 26 by Kane Williamson. On the other hand, splendid bowling by KKR bowlers. Sunil Narine just conceded 12 runs in his 4 overs spell. While Varun Chakravarthy conceded 26 runs and took 2 wickets. All the bowlers did their part very well. KKR got great relief as they restricted SRH to only 116 runs.

In the second innings, KKR got a decent start as they lost their 1st wicket in the 5th over. However, Shubman Gill played beautifully keeping in mind the situation of the game. He scored 57 off 51 and smashed 10 fours. Nitish Rana also contributed and scored 25 off 33 to help KKR to reach the target. SRH bowlers gave their best shot and gave a hard time to batters to score runs. Siddharth Kaul bowled at an economy of 4.6 while Bhuvneshwar at 5. Although they tried their best, KKR won the match by 6 wickets.

The young batter Shubman Gill receives the Man of the Match award for his crucial innings. Although the team was in pressure and the pitch was slow, he batted so well. He scored 57 off 51 and made the way for KKR to win the match.
