What an exciting match to see!! The 47th match of IPL 2021, scheduled at Sheikh Zayed Stadium was between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Currently CSK dominates the table and stands at the first position. While RR stands at the 7th position. So let’s take a roundabout of the match summary. Although RR bowlers were dominant in the first half, two batters turned the tables. CSK managed to post 189 runs on board. The efforts went in vain as RR chased down the target easily. To start with the match, RR won the toss and decided to bowl first. Things were in their favour for maximum time. However Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja turned the tables around and knocked regular boundaries. Gaikwad showed some unreal stuff through his performance. He smashed an unbeaten 101 off 60 balls at a strike rate of 168. Furthermore Jadeja scored a quickfire knock of 32 runs off 15 balls. These knocks at the end helped CSK to reach 189 runs. RR bowler Mustafizur Rahman went quite expensive and conceded 51 runs in 4 overs.

In the second innings, RR started off very well. The openers put up a 75 runs partnership stand in just 5 overs. Evin Lewis scored 27 off 12 while Yashasvi Jaiswal knocked a brilliant 20 ball fifty. He smashed 3 sixes and 6 fours at a strike rate of 238 to give RR a splendid start. Furthermore Shivam Dube smashed a gutsy knock of 64 off 42 balls at a strike rate of 152. What a team effort by RR. RR batters outshone the CSK bowlers to seal the victory. Although CSK bowlers tried, they failed to restrict RR. Hence, RR won the match by 7 wickets and 15 balls left.
Man of the Match in CSK vs RR match
Although CSK lost the match, the opener Ruturaj Gaikwad bags the Man of the Match award. He played incredibly well and smashed an unbeaten 101 in 60 balls. He knocked 5 sixes and 9 fours to complete his ton. Gaikwad completed his first fifty in 43 balls while the next 51 in just 17 balls. Therefore he deserved to be the Man of the Match.
