“Aapko kya lagta hai mai buddha ho gaya hu?” – Babar Azam gives a savage reply to a journalist

Pakistan will meet India on 28th August in their first Asia Cup 2022 fixture.

The first game of a three-match ODI series between Pakistan and the Netherlands is scheduled for August 16. Before the team’s trip to the Netherlands, captain Babar Azam delivered a scathing response to a journalist who questioned the health of Pakistani players. The journalist suggested that talents like Babar, Mohammad Rizwan, and pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi should stick to just two formats.

In response, Babar stated that all of the current Pakistani cricketers are in top physical condition and that he and other well-known players do not intend to limit themselves to just two formats of the game. Additionally, Babar questioned the journalist about his opinion of Babar’s ageing.

Workload not an issue, we’ll manage our fitness accordingly says Babar Azam

“You, Rizwan, and Shaheen are the stars, pride of Pakistan cricket. Like we lost the second Test against Sri Lanka, kya aap ko nahi lagta ki workload aap logo pe zyada hai? (Don’t you think the players were depressed, the workload was more?) So won’t it be a good idea if you people play only two formats?”

QUESTIONED THE JOURNALIST.

“It depends on your fitness. Abhi jis tarha hamari fitness hai, abhi aisa socha nahi hai ki hum do format mein aa jaye. Aapko kya lagta hai main budha ho gaya hu? ya hum budhe ho gaye hai? (The kind of fitness that we have, I don’t think we should limit ourselves to two formats. Do you think I have become old?)”.

Babar Azam replied.

The journalist also asked if the workload is more.

“I don’t think so. Agar load zyada hai toh us hisab se fitness badhayange hum” (If the load is more then we will increase our fitness levels)

Babar replied

Talking about Babar’s performance in international cricket, the right-handed batter has been in impressive touch lately and will want to continue ahead. The Men in Green will take on India in their tournament opener of the 2022 Asia Cup.
