Shivam Mavi is an Indian professional cricketer who played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2022 Indian Premier League. In the mega auction of 2018, Mavi was signed by Kolkata Knight Riders at a base price of only 20 lakh which got increased after multiple bids were made on the player by multiple teams. In the end, Kolkata Knight Rider won the bidding war at Rs 3.00 crore for the bowling all-rounder. Shivam Mavi’s base price for this year’s IPL auction was Rs 40 lakhs which is the highest for an uncapped Indian player. His former franchise KKR started the bidding war and stayed in it till Rs 1 crore until other franchises such as Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, Gujrat Titans, and Delhi Captains joined the bidding war. It was the defending champions Gujrat Titans that ended up winning the bidding war at the price of Rs 6.00 crore.

Shivam Mavi IPL and T20 career so far.
Shivam Mavi made his IPL debut in 2018, he has picked up 32 wickets in 30 matches while playing for KKR. He had a decent Economy of 8.71 while playing for the franchise. He is known for his ability to swing the ball in both ways and pick up quick wickets in the powerplay.
His personal best performance came against Rajasthan Royals when he picked up career-best figures of 4/21 against the franchise in 2021.
In his T20 career, Mavi has only picked up 7 wickets in 11 matches with a bowling average of 45.28.
Mavi was a major part of India’s title-winning reign in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup. He plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket.
