However, within 15 days Neeraj Chopra broke the national record again with an 89.94-meter javelin throw at Stockholm Diamond League. Moreover, this was the first time that Chopra has finished in the Top 3 at the Diamond League. The golden boy nearly missed the 90m mark with his first throw at the Diamond League as he achieved 89.94m. However, this brilliant throw got him the second position in the League. He stood second to the reigning champion Anderson Peters. Peters won the League with a 90.31m throw.
Chopra had a brilliant series of throws, as none of the throws was a foul. Neeraj achieved the following figures in 6 attempts- 89.94m, 84.37m, 87.46m, 84.77m, 86.67m, and 86.84m.
