With a throw of 87.58m, Neeraj Chopra won the Olympics Gold last year.

Recently, in his first appearance after the Tokyo Olympics, Neeraj Chopra broke the national record by throwing the javelin for 89.30 meters. However, within 15 days Neeraj Chopra broke the national record again with an 89.94-meter javelin throw at Stockholm Diamond League. Moreover, this was the first time that Chopra has finished in the Top 3 at the Diamond League. The golden boy nearly missed the 90m mark with his first throw at the Diamond League as he achieved 89.94m. However, this brilliant throw got him the second position in the League. He stood second to the reigning champion Anderson Peters. Peters won the League with a 90.31m throw.

Chopra had a brilliant series of throws, as none of the throws was a foul. Neeraj achieved the following figures in 6 attempts- 89.94m, 84.37m, 87.46m, 84.77m, 86.67m, and 86.84m.

Neeraj Chopra achieved his career-best throw of 89.94 meters at the Stockholm Diamond League on June 30th. Moreover, he also stood second with the throw. Although he wasn’t happy with the throw as he was confident of achieving the 90m mark. However, he still believes that slow improvement is good.

Last year, Chopra became the first athlete from India to win an Olympic Gold for his 87.58m throw.
