Newcastle have moved closer to signing Sven Botman from LOSC Lille. Lille have agreed the premier league team’s offer for the Dutch U21 defender, bringing a six-month pursuit to a close.
Newcastle is spending roughly £36 million for the gifted youngster. According to sources in Milan, Newcastle beat the Serie A champions to an agreement with the French club on Thursday night.
Newcastle bought Nick Pope previously this week, bringing their total outlay to £63 million.

Eddie Howie acquired England full-back Kieran Trippier and Brighton center-back Dan Burn in January.
