(1) Murray was coached by Ivan Lendel
Andy Murray was coached by the eight-time Grand Salm Champion Ivan Lendl in 2012. There was no better time for this partnership as Murray lost four Grand Slam finals between 2008 and 2012. Lendl went through the same experience as he lost his first four Grand Slam finals. Their collaboration taught Murray better self-control and self-reliance.
(2) 2016 was a year for him
2016 was the best year in his career. He ended the 2016 year being the World Number 1 . He made a final appearance in all the 3 Grand Slams. Murray went on to win Wimbledon in 2016. Also, he won a gold medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

(3) Murray has Bipartite Patella
Murray was born with a bipartite patella, a condition in which the kneecap remains as two separate bones instead of fusing together. Although he had it in early childhood he was not diagnosed until the age of 16.

Murray comes from a family of tennis players. His brother Jamie Murray is even a professional tennis player. Their mom Judy Murray encouraged Andy to play tennis at the age of 3. His maternal grandfather Roy Erskine was a professional footballer in the late 1950s.

In late 2017 Murray had a very bad hip injury and retired from the Canda Open, Cincinati Open and US Open. In January 2018, Murray announced on Instagram he had undergone hip surgery. He made a comeback in Washington Open. But ended up having another hip injury and had his second hip surgery happened in mid 2018 and made a comeback.
Andy Murray may have made a comeback but he hasn’t still gotten back to his old form. Whereas, Murray has even mentioned that he would not be taking part in Wimbeldon. The Grass court Grand Slam is one of his favourite court.
