These are the players who made history with the most number of ATP Titles. ATP tour is a top-tier tennis tour for men organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals. The ATP Tour consists of ATP Masters 1000, ATP 500, ATP 250, and the ATP Cup. There have been many ATP title winners, but these five tennis players hold the record for the Most ATP titles in Tennis History.

(1) Roger Federer 

ATP Titles:- 103

Roger Federer holds the record for the Most ATP titles in Tennis till now with 103 titles. According to ATP, the Swiss tennis player is currently ranked 47th with 1030 points.  The 20 Grand Slam winner held the World Number 1 rank for 310 weeks.

Federer even held the record 8 Wimbledon titles, which is the highest number of Wimbledon titles held by men, when he surpassed his childhood idol, Pete Sampras. He even had the record for the most number of Grand Slams until 2021, when Nadal clinched his 21st Grand Slam Title.

(2) Rafael Nadal

ATP Titles:- 91

Rafael Nadal has the second Most ATP titles in Tennis till now with 91 ATP titles. According to ATP, the Spaniard is currently ranked World Number 5 with 5,525 points. He has held the World Number 1 rank for a consecutive 209 weeks.

He was the most successful teenager in the history of ATP. At the age of 19, he was ranked No 2 and even won a French Open along with 6 ATP Master Events. He is also called the King of Clay because of his 13 French Open wins, as the historic Grand Slam is played on clay court. He even clinched a “Clay Slam” and Nadal is the only one to accomplish this feat. The Clay Slam consists of winning the clay-court tournaments, Monte-Carlo Masters, Madrid Masters, Rome Masters and the French Open in the same year. 

He even made history in 2021, when he clinched his second Australian Open and brought his total Grand Slam to 21. He surpassed his rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer for most Grand Slams won by any male in tennis history. 

(3) Novak Djokovic

ATP Titles:- 87

Novak Djokovic has won the 3rd most ATP Tour titles till now with 87 titles. He is currently ranked World Number 1 with 8,660 by ATP. Novak Djokovic has a record of 16,950 ranking points, the most ATP points ever accumulated by any player in a single season. 

Djokovic is the only player in history to win all the “Big Titles”. The “Big Titles” in the ATP tour consist of four Grand Slam tournaments, 9 ATP Masters events, and ATP finals.  Djokovic and Nadal are the only players to win each slam twice in the Open Era, which includes winning three different surfaces: Clay, Grass, and Hardcourt. 

Djokovic has 20 Grand Slams and is trailing Nadal by only one, but is said to hold the most Grand Slams by the end of his career. Federer and Nadal have had a few major injuries over these past few years which will play to Djokovic’s advantage.

(4) Pete Sampras 

ATP Titles:- 64

Pete Sampras holds the fourth position with 64 ATP Tour titles. The former American tennis player held the No. 1 position from 1993 to 1998 for 286 consecutive weeks. 

He is called “Pistol Pete” because of his extreme skills off of single-handed backhand and accurate and strong serves. He has won 14 Grand Slam titles and 11 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles in his magnificent career. His rivalry with Andre Agassi was said to be the greatest rivalry in tennis history. 

(5) Andre Agassi

ATP Titles:- 60

The former American player holds the fifth position in the list of Most ATP titles in Tennis with 60 ATP titles. 

Agassi is the first of only two men to achieve the Career Golden Slam, wherein he won all four Grand Slams and an Olympic Gold Medal. He is also the only one to achieve a Career Super Slam. Career Super Slam is achieved when winning the four Grand Slam tournaments, an Olympic gold medal, the Davis Cup, and the ATP World Tour Finals. 

There will be many more ATP winners, but these tennis players names will be etched in tennis history and will never be forgotten.
