According to widespread reports in the Spanish media, Ousmane Dembele is on the verge of agreeing on a deal with Chelsea. It looks likely that he is going to be the first signing of the Boehly era of Chelsea. The Frenchman’s contract at Barcelona will expire in just a few weeks and despite interest from the likes of PSG and Manchester United, it now appears that the winger is really keen to play for the London club.

One of the main reasons which convinced Dembele to join Chelsea was their manager Thomas Tuchel because he had already played under him during his time at Dortmund and they both shared some incredible matches together. He scored 10 goals and assisted 21 times in just 49 games under the guidance of the German coach. But if Dembele arrives then Tuchel has to sell one of Pulisic, Ziyech and Werner in order to make room for the Frenchman. But recently Dembele’s agent has told that the winger’s future still isn’t closed as of yet and they’ll make a decision when the right time comes.
At the moment Ousmane Dembele has offers from Chelsea and PSG and a contract renewal offer from Barcelona too is on the table. So soon the World Cup winner must decide his future as PSG have already told him that they’ll take back their offer if he doesn’t decide soon enough. Anyway his form this season has been simply sensational as in La Liga he finished as the top assist provider by providing 13 assists. This is certainly the reason why many top clubs are interested in him cause an injury-free Dembele could be a masterpiece of a signing.
