IPL 2022 has been a complete disaster for the Mumbai Indians. After losing all the 8 games they have played so far, Mumbai is at the bottom of the points table. It’s now almost certain that MI will not be able to qualify for the playoffs, which is quite astonishing for a team having won maximum IPL titles.
Reasons are many, but the predominant one appears to be MI Skipper’s poor form along with IPL 2022’s highest price tagged Ishan Kishan’s inability to perform at the top. Star allrounder Keiron Pollard too has been struggling with form. Only newbie Tilak Verma and the local star Surya Kumar Yadav have delivered some classy knocks. The team as a whole hasn’t clicked as a unit so far in this tournament.

Rohit hits a string of low scores
Hitman has not been able to score runs, the highest he has scored in this season is the knock of 41 runs which came against the Delhi Capitals in season’s opening game of MI. In the last game against Lucknow Supergaints he scored 39 runs. However, against CSK he was dismissed for a duck. Before this duck, Rohit had scores of 41, 10, 3, 26, 28, and 6 and is yet to register a half-century.

Rohit’s sweet gesture
Despite MI’s and Rohit Sharma’s poor show, the fans are still backing the hitman and co. for a bounceback in the remaining games of the IPL. So, Rohit Sharma took Twitter to post a heartfelt note for his loyal MI fans for always standing by the team’s side.
