Watch: Dewald Brevis dismisses Virat Kohli
In the 19th over, Brevis has begun his attack with a length ball. The umpire declared Kohli out, LBW. But Virat Kohli had asked for a DRS. Virat believes that there’s an inside edge on the pad. However, the third umpire didn’t find conclusive evidence to overturn the on-field umpire’s decision. It looked like the ball had contacted the bat and the pad at the same time. So, the on-field umpire’s decision had to be continued. However, Virat was not satisfied with the decision. What makes this wicket all the way more interesting is that Virat is one of Brevis’s idols. Prior to IPL Mega Auction 2022, Dewald Brevis has also named RCB as his favorite franchise.
Maxwell ended the match in the next two balls itself, hitting two back-to-back fours to Brevis. RCB won the match by 7 wickets.
