South African wicketkeeper batter Quinton de Kock and his wife Shasha are blessed with a baby girl. The left handed batter shared the news on Instagram. Quinton de Kock shared a couple of adorable pictures with his wife and the new born baby. Notably, they named their child “Kiara”. They started receiving congratulatory messages from the world. “How’s it my name is Kiara !!! @sashadekock,” read the caption. And needless to say, in no time the comments section is filled with congratulatory messages wishing the couple and the new born.

Quinton de Kock announced shocking retirement from Test cricket
De Kock had earlier announced retirement from the longest format of the game to spend more time with his family. He will continue to play White Ball cricket for South Africa. Following the conclusion of 1st Test against India, which South Africa lost, Quinton de Kock announced shocking retirement from the Test Cricket. This came as a surprise to everybody as he is the vital cog of the young South African side. He is just 29 years old.
“This is not a decision that I have come to very easily. I have taken a lot of time to think about what my future looks like and what needs to take priority in my life now that Sasha and I are about to welcome our first child into this world and look to grow our family beyond that. My family is everything to me and I want to have the time and space to be able to be with them during this new and exciting chapter of our lives.”

Before retiring, Quinton played 54 Tests for South Africa and scored 3300 runs at a decent average of 38.8. He scored six centuries and 22 half centuries as well as his time with South Africa in Test Cricket. We wish congratulations to Quinton de Kock as he blessed with a baby girl.
