WWE announce WWE 2K23 with John Cena returning as its cover star

The WWE and 2K have come together to officially announce details of WWE 2K23.

Bad Bunny, John Cena and Much More

The video game is set to be released on 17th March, 2024. If fans pre-order WWE2K23, they will have the unique opportunity of playing as global popstar, Bad Bunny. Pre-ordering allows players to play the game three days earlier than everyone else.

16-time WWE Champion, John Cena returns to the front cover of WWE 2K.

Additionally, there will be three editions of the game up for grabs – Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Edition, Deluxe Edition and Icon Edition.

Breaking Down The Four Editions

The Standard Edition will comprise WWE 2K23.

The Cross-Gen Edition will comprise versions of WWE superstars from the last generation and current generation. This is in addition to features of the Standard Edition.

The Deluxe Edition features a Season Pass for the five post-launch DLC packs. The MyRISE Mega-Boost and SuperCharger, Ruby John Cena MyFACTION Evo Card, Gold Edge MyFACTION Card, Gold Asuka MyFACTION Card and Emerald Bianca Belair MyFACTION Card are included in this edition. Furthermore, three Basic Premium Launch MyFACTION Card Packs will be accessible for buyers of the Deluxe Edition.

The Icon Edition is the crème de la crème edition of the game. It has the marquee feature of the Ruthless Aggression pack, featuring the Prototype version of John Cena, Cena’s Legacy Championship and Leviathan version of Batista. That is not all. Emerald Paul Heyman Manager MyFACTION Card, rookie editions of Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar will be included too.

What Is New In WWE 2K23?

WWE 2K23 is set to introduce never-seen before features.

Barring modifications, updates and more options in the GM mode and online multiplayer mode, the WarGames mode will be a part of the game for the first time. This mode allows players to indulge in a three-versus-three and four-versus-four matches with the unique WarGames structure of two rings within a steel cage.

Interestingly enough, the 2K Showcase mode will cover the illustrious two-decade long career of John Cena. Furthermore, the Showcase mode will be narrated by Cena.
