Roger Federer signalled return via his latest social media post

Roger Federer will play in the Laver Cup 2022 followed by Switzerland Open in his hometown, Basel.

The 20-times Grand Slam champion, Roger Federer recently shared a video of himself practising on the court. The 41-year-old Swiss sensational triggered all his fans with a sign of a return on the tour. Roger has been ranked as World No one for five years, however, he is currently not ranked in ATP rankings.

A few days ago, Roger also shared a post of the Laver Cup collaborating with the Duchess of Cambridge for this year’s tournament. The collaboration is on the purpose of Charity funding for the UK’s two major charities. This news dazzled the Roger fans of his returning to tour. Roger Federer will definitely be spotted in the 2022 Laver Cup as one of the team members of “Team Europe”. Along with Federer, the 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal will be also likely to be seen in the team. Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will be also joining him in his team. The tournament will begin from 23-25th September.

Roger Federer signalled return via his latest social media post

The eight-time Wimbledon titlist has been off for more than half a year which leads the fans to question his retirement. However, Roger earlier talked about his return in October via an interview to ensure it. According to his early interview, Federer stated that he will return on tour in Basel, Switzerland Open.

He is seen hitting a tennis ball on a hard court indicating to come back on the hard court. It seems he is pretty excited and enjoying his warm-ups under the sun through the video he posted on Instagram on 21 August.

On May 19, he posted his insider of fitness & warm-ups that left hopes for the fans. After quite a while he kept the hopes lit of his return on tour.
