Laver Cup 2022: Roger Federer, Duchess of Cambridge to collaborate for a fundraiser

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton announced a collaboration with the Laver Cup 2022 for the fundraising for two significant charities of the United Kingdoms. Roger Federer, the co-founder of the Laver Cup delightfully shared the news via Twitter.

The Laver Cup is an annual men’s team tennis tournament between Europe and the Rest of the World. The tournament will be held between Sept 23- 25 in London.

The fundraising will begin on Open Practice day. The selling of tickets will commence on 22nd September, Thursday, from the first day of court practice. Thereafter, Roger Federer and other top male players will be spotted on the court.

The Laver Cup is committed to supporting community initiatives impacting young people in each city it visits and the collaboration with Action for Children and the LTA was initiated by a recommendation from The Duchess.

Massive Collaboration to aid two organisations in the UK

The Duchess of Cambridge signed the collaboration to raise funds for two massive charities- Action for Children and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). The Action of Children is a charity that focuses on helping vulnerable children and families. It is one of the oldest and most trusted charities founded in 1869.

The Lawn Tennis Association will fund the SERVES programmes to provide good coaching staff to the children in some underprivileged areas. This service will be specially provided in the area near O2 in London. Children those are ranging from 8 to 15 years will be beneficial from these funds.

Through this initiative, the organisation will be giving a day out to the children from the local area of the charities to enjoy tennis.
