Novak Djokovic said to media in post match press conference in Serbia Open 2022

Djokovic had a quite tiring tournament in Serbia as he played 9 sets to reach the finals of the Serbia Open 2022. This was his third tournament of the year after Dubai and Monte Carlo. Though he managed to come back in each match from a first set down, followed from the Round of 16 to the semifinals. But he could not carry on the run in the finals against the mighty Andrey Rublev.

The 34-year-old did not disclose any exact statement about his “bad feeling” regarding his physical fitness. The question arises: Will he play any ATP Masters before the French Open? The main draws are still not out for the four ATP Masters tournaments. According to his statements, it seems like his physic is not up to the mark.

it never happened like this in my career but in monte carlo and today maybe related to the illness that i was going through was quite tough physically for me. i guess the recovery time is taking a bit longer than i expected.
