World no. 1 Novak Djokovic finally speaks up on Russian players’ ban at the Serbia Open 2022 on Wednesday. Novak Djokovic says cannot support the decision on the Russian Players’ ban in Wimbledon and stated it as “Crazy”. After the announcement from the AELTC this week about the ban, there is huge hustle among the tennis fans. Not only tennis fans but also players didn’t like the decision.

Djokovic said, “I will always condemn war, I will never support war being myself a child of war”. He also added, “I know how much emotional trauma it leaves. In Serbia we all know what happened in 1999.”

I cannot support the decision of wimbledon, i think it is crazy. when politics interferes with sport, the result is not good

Novak shows his great humanity, he would never want any talented young players from any part of the world to be forced out of tournaments. As of record, Daniil Medvedev reached the 4th round of Wimbledon last year. While the Belarusian women’s world no. 4 Aryna Sabalenka was a semi-finalist the same year.

Novak Djokovic says cannot support the decision on Russian Player’s ban in Wimbledon. On the contradict, the Ukrainian’s former world no. 3 Elina Svitolina somehow is too not completely supportive of the AELTC decision. She is never against any Russian and Belarusian player competing if they speak out about the war.
