The WTA tour has been held there ever since it began. Last year, it was decided to hold two tournaments in succession in Adelaide. The new season began with the Adelaide International 1, and the second one was held the following week. This year, the same structure was used. The Adelaide International 2 as the name suggests will be held on the hard courts at the Memorial Drive Tennis Center in Adelaide, Australia. American Madison Keys lifted the trophy at the inaugural edition last year, beating compatriot Alison Riske in the summit clash. Keys will be back to defend her title this year.

The Final will go on floors today when Novak Djokovic will take on Sebastian Kardo at the Tennis Centre. It would be an interesting contest between a veteran and a young lad aspiring to be on top in the Tennis fraternity.
