The third match takes place on 22nd August at 4:00 am in the morning. Nigeria U-20 will face off Netherlands U-20. Nigeria U-20 won all their group fixtures on to the way to QFs. Netherlands won two of three matches. Nigeria has qualified as runners-up twice and a bronze once.

Japan will square off against France in the final quarter final of the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup. They qualified as the topper of the group D while France came second in Group C. Japan is the defending champions of the tournament having beaten Spain to claim the title in 2018. France came second in 2016 while they came third in 2014. Additionally, The French reached the final four in the last tournament.

Shockingly, both USA and Germany went down in the group stage itself. The teams have won three titles and are the best nations in the tournament. Unless Japan wins, we will be having a new champion this year.
