Chelsea football club have completed the signing of Marc Cucurella from Brighton for a deal worth 62 Million Euros in which Chelsea have to pay the 55 Million up front and the remaining 7 Million Euros are the variables in the deal. Along with the signings of Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling, Cucurella is another big player to be signed by the Blues this summer, and this is a real serious improvement to Tuchel’s squad. Now it has also been reported that the Premier League side are prepared to spend even more and break the 300 Million Euros barrier. Todd Boehly means business and he has truly backed Tuchel this transfer window as they make their 3rd top class signing ahead of the new season.

Chelea have indeed faced a lot of criticism so far this summer as their transfer window was a disater for a few weeks when they lost the chance to sign players like Dembele, Lewandowski, Raphinha and Kounde, they were even bad in pre season but now that they have made some crucial signings, the tables have been turned and Chelsea are serious title contenders. Now that they have signed Cucurella for an astronomical amount of 62 Million Euros, the player has a lot of pressure too and if indeed he manages to live up to the expectations and performs outraegouly well for the next 3-4 years like he did with Brighton, his price tag will never be questioned and this will be another excellent deal for Chelsea.
Cucurella is a player that can defend, that can attack and he is very versatile too around the field as he can play as a wing back, a left back and potentially maybe even a midfielder,. So Thomas Tuchel has a real talent in his hand and he has the opportunity to unleash the Spaniard’s potential and show it to the world. The Premier League season begins today and all the teams are ready for the season ahead, so it would interesting to see whether Chelsea lives up to their expectations or not.
