Today indeed Manchester United have formally announced the deal that they agreed to sign Lisandro Martinez from Ajax in a deal which is reportedly a 65 Million Euros total package including add-ons. He was a player on which the hierarchy of United and Erik Ten Hag were working incredibly hard for the past 3 to 4 weeks as they needed to get his signature and during that time, they fought off their arch rivals Arsenal who were in a bidding war along with them. Martinez is certainly a key player in the Ten Hag revolution and he’ll definitely play a key role in his plans and the philosophy that the coach is currently getting instilled in the club.

Martinez is a player who is technically gifted and definitely has the talent to be one of the best center back in the world, he proved himself at the biggest of stages as he already won Copa America with Argentina and he has certainly shown his skills in the Champions League. But some United supporters have a mixed opinion regarding this signing as some of them think the club have overpaid for him, so now the Argentine center-back has an opportunity to prove the critics wrong and show his outstanding talent at Old Trafford and show that he is worth a lot more that his market value.
But the player’s will to choose United over Arsenal surely shows the commitment to the club and Ten Hag knows Lisandro very well as he coached him for a few years and now at Old Trafford he has the opportunity to unleash the Argentine to the whole world and show everyone his true potential. The United rebuild and the revolution is truly on now as they have signed Eriksen and Malacia along with Lisandro and of course there a few more to come this summer, all this shows that Ten Hag has huge plans and aims for next season. All in all, it would be interesting to see what the Red Devils achieve next season and how the new revolution turns out.
