Leaving aside the Golden Boot award Kylian Mbappe breaks Several records
Kylian Mbappe became the first player to score four goals in a World Cup final with his hat-trick against Argentina this evening. The Qatar 2022 final featured a largely silent 23-year-old France talisman, but 10 minutes before the conclusion of regulation, he burst forth with a quick fire brace that evened the score.
As a result, Mbappe became the youngest player in World Cup history to score ten or more goals and one of just six players to score in two different World Cup finals.
Mbappe nonetheless finished the 2022 World Cup with a record of 12 goals in 14 games, which was equal to that of Brazilian legend Pele.
