Olivier Giroud has passed Thierry Henry as France's all-time leading scorer.

After scoring against Poland in their FIFA World Cup 2022 last-16 match, Olivier Giroud has passed Thierry Henry as France’s all-time leading scorer. Giroud has scored a total of 52 goals to date. Kylian Mbappe passed the ball to Giroud, who scored France’s opening goal against Poland.

Giroud overtakes Thierry Henry

The seasoned forward-tied 1998 world champion Henry for the most goals scored when he scored twice against Australia in Qatar 2022’s group stage, but he now leads the list after scoring against Poland in the round of 16 to move clear of Henry.
