They defeated teams like Portugal and others in qualification to demonstrate their mettle, but a challenging assignment waits for them in Qatar come November.
But with so much talent at his disposal, head coach Dragan Stojkovic will be optimistic about guiding his squad through the group stages.

His goal against Portugal secured direct qualifying to Qatar in 2022, skipping the playoffs, and it was his 44th for Serbia. Since then, he has added another goal, bringing his total to 46, maintaining him well ahead of the rest of Serbia’s all-time scorers.
He will be eager to lead Serbia’s trophy charge at the World Cup, one major stage that still calls.
