Fortnitemares 2022 is about to begin

It’s that time of year when Epic Games unleashes their most terrifying surprises during the Fortnitemares 2022 event. This Halloween-themed event will begin on October 18 and will most likely last until October 31. More spooky skins in the Item Shop and major changes to the island ahead of the Fortnitemares update are expected in the coming weeks.

Fortnite announced the start date on its official Twitter with a video of a metal wolf, which will most likely be featured during this event. Epic Games doesn’t say much about what to expect, but the post does mention “screams, bad dreams, and all monstrous things.” This year’s Fortnitemares appear to be one to remember.

Data miners on Twitter have speculated in recent weeks that a new mini-boss may be arriving on the island as part of the event. There will also be new spooky skins created by Epic and the community. Two of these skins are already known to us, thanks to a competition held earlier this year that allowed fans to submit ideas.

One of the skins has the appearance of a fallen angel, complete with a large scythe and chains. The other skin has a hand for a head and a massive scythe. Both will be available as part of the Fortnitemares update on October 18. They may also be included in the Oct. 4 update, ahead of the event, but they will undoubtedly be in the game by the time Fortnitemares begins.
