As you know, Fortnite is currently in its 21st Season, yet there are still some game-breaking glitches that ruin the gaming experience sometimes. The latest bug in Fortnite makes in-game chest useless, as discovered by a popular Youtuber. The latest v21.30 update was released on Monday, July 18. The v21.30 update added a lot of new content to the game. Unfortunately, players are having some issues after the new update but Epic Games is working on fixing them. It appears that the developers of Fortnite have broken chests with the latest update as they no longer drop loot like they are supposed to, which is a serious glitch in Fortnite.
Fortnite chests are no longer functioning properly
After the new update, the Fortnite chests are no longer working properly. Sometimes when players open chests, they do not get any loot from them. Popular Youtuber GKI, who is known for exposing different glitches in games posted a video of the game-breaking bug. According to him, Fortnite chests are broken, but not as broken as some players believe.
As you can see at the start of the video, the player opens a rare chest but it drops no loot. However, the loot spawns but it’s just in a different location. The rare chest spawned its loot a few meters away from the player which is why they didn’t see it.
