With the help of Rishabh Pant‘s quick 44 on Saturday, India defeated the West Indies 3-1 to take an unbeatable lead in the five-match T20I series. On August 6, the bowlers contributed to India’s victory in the fourth match in Florida.
Nicholas Pooran, the captain of the West Indies, chose to bowl first after winning the toss. West Indies were dismissed for just 132 in the chase after India had amassed 191/5, with Arshdeep Singh returning 3/12 and Avesh Khan, Akshar Patel, and Ravi Bishnoi each taking two wickets.
Rishabh Pant top-scored with 44, while Rohit Sharma (33) and Sanju Samson (30*) also contributed as well. In reply, Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell were the joint top scorers for the hosts with 24 runs each.
Pant’s childishness pisses Hitman
With three sixes in one over from Akshar Patel, Pooran came out aggressively and scored 24 runs in just 8 balls. Pooran moved the ball toward offside on Patel’s final ball of the over, then quickly sprinted for a single. Kyle Mayers, a non-striker, was in the middle of the pitch with Pooran, but he didn’t react in time as Sanju Samson swooped in and made a quick throw to Pant at the batting end.
While waiting, Pant took his time moving the bails, and he didn’t start until skipper Rohit Sharma yelled at him to do so. In a video posted by FanCode, Rohit can be heard yelling at Pant to move the bails so the game may continue.
