After smashing boundaries in the Asia Cup 2022, our India’s modern day batting legend Virat Kohli is now ruling social media as well, becoming the first cricketer to amass 50 million followers on Twitter. He returned to the Asia Cup 2022 with a bang and finished the competition as the second-highest run-scorer. For the first time since he began playing professional cricket, Kohli admitted before the competition that he had not touched his bat for a month.
Virat scored his maiden T20I century in India’s last super 4s stage match against Afghanistan. He scored a record 122* in 61 balls with 12 fours and six sixes to his name. With this ton, he also became the second highest century scorer in international cricket with 71 centuries. The former Indian skipper went past Ricky Ponting‘s record of 70 tons. And is now only behind Sachin Tendulkar‘s record of 100 tons.
