Over the years, IPL has seen some brutal hitting, and sometimes the batter targets a particular bowler, and those six balls become a nightmare for the bowler. Going back to cricket, Chris Gayle destroyed this leggie for 31 runs in the 2012 season. Gayle hit 5 sixes in the last 5 balls of the over. Gayle was a non-striker at the start of the over.

4. Ravi Bopara

Ravi Bopara gave away 33 runs in the 2010 IPL against KKR. Bopara was playing for Kings XI Punjab. Manoj Tiwari took a single of the first ball and gave the strike to Chris Gayle. Gayle smashed this medium pacer for 4 sixes. Bopara under pressure bowled 2 wide balls and 3rd of them went for 4 runs. Bopara finished the over by allowing a single run. This 33 run-over is the 4th most expensive over in the IPL history.

3. Parvinder Awana

This time it was Parvinder Awana who was at the receiving end of the fiery Suresh Raina innings. In 2014, CSK was chasing a huge target set by KXIP of 227 runs. Suresh, Raina was on fire and he almost on his own took CSK above 100 in 6th over only. Awana conceded 2 sixes and 5 fours as he bowled a no-ball, too. CSK added 33 runs off his 6 balls.

2. Prashanth Parameswaran

Prasanth Parameswaran, the Indian youngster, faced a Gayle Storm in 2011. The youngster was playing for Kochi Tuskers Kerala and conceded 37 runs. This is the second-highest number of runs conceded by any bowler in a single over. Prasanth Parameswaran has 9 wickets in 8 IPL games.
