India has a busy cricket schedule after the IPL. Soon after the IPL Final, South Africa will be touring India for 5 Twenty20 Internationals. Later, the national teams will lock horns in the Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. Which will be held in Australia in October-November, later this year. On Tuesday, Cricket South Africa released the T20Is squad for the India tour. It is quite evident that IPL performances have played a huge part in deciding the squad. Since SA will be touring India, IPL is giving them a better understanding to pick the squad for Indian playing conditions. Anrich Nortje sustained an injury in December 2021 and has been recovering. His return to the Delhi Capitals gave a huge sigh of relief to South African selectors. Mumbai Indians youngster Tristan Stubbs also gets his maiden call-up for India. South Africa tour of India will be played in June 2022.
