Warnie has played 145 Tests and 194 ODIs for his national side, picking 708 and 293 wickets respectively. He has picked 37 Test five-wicket hauls, which is the third-highest for any cricketer. Hours before this saddening departure from life, Shane Warne shared an image from his vacation. Warne was in a villa in Thailand’s Koh Samui. He shared an image showing the picturesque view from the Samujana Villa. Moreover, Warne was on a boys’ trip with four friends. He was spotted at the airport just a day ago. In addition, the luxury villa had games and infinity pools. Which would assure a great time with friends. However, the trip turned out to be rather disheartening. It was at the villa that warned was found unconscious and was rushed to the Thai International Hospital. Just hours before, he shared an image from his luxury villa to greet fans ‘goodnight’.
When around 5 pm, Manager Neophitou tried to wake him up, there was no response. Before an ambulance reached the villa, CPR was performed on him for around 20 minutes by friends. An ambulance worker has told more about the condition they’ve found the Spin King in. Later, the news was broken to the world by Shane’s management company, leaving the cricket world stunned. His family demands privacy after this unforeseen grief has taken on their lives.
“The friend carried him downstairs and performed CPR. We requested help from Thai International Hospital to transfer him there, but we were told later that the man has passed away. From what we could observe, there was no wound, no sign of struggle. The room was in normal condition. Everything looked normal, as if the victim was just sleeping in the room, kept cool and comfortable with the air conditioning on.”
