RR vs SRH: Live Score and Update

RR vs SRH: SRH pull off a heist!

WHAT A GAME!!!! RR had the game in their pockets so many times. Abdul Samad should have been dismissed thrice in the final over, but two dropped catches and a no-ball gave him another life. He utilized it to its fullest by sealing the game with a last-ball-six! Sunrisers Hyderabad have pulled a heist here and done the unthinkable! Glenn Phillips induced the momentum with 25 runs in just 7 balls and Samad finished it. This is the highest chase ever by SRH and at this venue as well. Some questionable decisions were made by the RR captain, like bowling M Ashwin’s third over and giving the 19th to Kuldip Yadav! Yuzi Chahal bowled out at 4/29 in a game where more than 200 was to be chased. Brilliant stuff, yet ended up on the losing side! SRH win by 4 wickets and are alive by the barest of margins!

RR vs SRH: SRH still alive!

Klassen has came in and smoked in runs in no time. Tripathi took his time but is striking it well. They have taken 29 runs of the last two overs and brought the equation down to 69 runs off 30 balls. Just touch below 14 the required rate at this stage! SRH are 146/2 after 15 overs!

Impact Player(RR): R Ashwin goes out, Obed McCoy comes in

RR vs SRH: Powerplay Done!

A decent start for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Royals started with two quiet overs but SRH stormed back in the remaining overs. Chahal ended Anmolpreet Singh’s cameo of 33 runs. Rahul Tripathi walks in to bat and SRH would hope he can fire tonight and score big! SRH 52/1 after 6 overs. They need 163 runs from 84 balls. SRH need to find boundaries!

Impact Player (SRH): Anmolpreet Singh comes in for T Natarajan!

RR vs SRH: RR finish with 214/2!

Rajasthan Royals have finished with 214/2 at the end of 20 overs. This is the highest total and only the second time a team has crossed 200 in T20s at this venue. Sanju Samson batted till the last ball and ended with 66 off 38. The man of the momen at was Jos Buttler, who scored 95 off 59. The SRH bowlers were punished by Samson-Buttler.

The target for Sunrisers Hyderabad is 215 runs from 120 balls. This will be a very difficult task on a slowing track against RR spinners, but certainly not impossible. SRH just need to take a leaf out of DC’s book and come out playing fearlessly! DC made a mockery of a 182 yesterday, you never know this could be SRH’s day! SRH are rock-bottom and has nothing to lose and everything to gain here tonight!

RR vs SRH: Buttler eyeing an century!

A brilliant display of shot-making by Jos Buttler. This has been some performance by the Royals’ batting. They were under pressure, having won only one of their last five games. The batting was nowhere near their best, but they have just stormed back here! And Jos Buttler has struck form. He was scoring at a run-a-ball and is now striking them at 154.34. He is currently batting on 71 off 46, and could well knock his 6th IPL Hundred! Royals are 154/1 after 15 overs and it seems they’ll post an intimidating score!

RR vs SRH: Samson Buttler build a dangerous partnership!

The two batters have hit top gears scoring 21 runs in Mayank Markande’s over. Buttler has found his mojo and RR are getiing a serious move-on now. They look well placed for only the second ever 200+ total on this surface. RR are 107/1 after 10 overs. Will Joe Root get to bat tonight?

RR vs SRH: Dangerous Jaiswal departs after maximisng the powerplay!

Rajasthan Royals are off to a fluent start, all thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal. He scored 35 runs off 18 balls before being dismissed by Marco Jansen’s extra bounce. Butller hasn’t hit full-gear as yet, he has 14 runs in 13 balls. RR are 61/1 after the powerplay!

SRH Subs: Harry Brook, Anmolpreet Singh, Mayank Dagar, Nitish Reddy, Sanvir Singh

RR Subs: Devdutt Padikkal, Adam Zampa, Riyan Parag, Jason Holder, Obed McCoy

Sunrisers Hyderabad Playing XI: Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram(c), Heinrich Klaasen(w), Glenn Phillips, Abdul Samad, Marco Jansen, Vivrant Sharma, Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan

Build-Up..

Rajasthan Royals will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 52nd game of the IPL 2024 in Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Follow the feed for RR vs SRH: Live Score and Update.

The Royals are currently in fourth position, having won five of their 10 games. They are coming off a two-match losing run, their most recent setback being a humbling loss to the Gujarat Titans.

Sunrisers are in last place in the points standings, having won three of their past nine matches. They have only won one of their previous five. In their most recent game, they were defeated by the Kolkata Knight Riders by five runs while chasing a 172-run target.

What to Expect?… The pitch has been on the slower side and aids spin bowling. The last match here saw a slow-burning track with spinners inflicting most of the damage. Today’s game is going to be played on the same track. Both captains might look to chase.
