RR vs LSG: Live Score and Update

RR vs LSG: Impressive bowling wins the game for Lucknow!

Lucknow Super Giants have done well to defend 154. A good bowling performance. Today was a much more even contest between ball and bat, as the pitch favoured the bowlers by being a bit two paced. Rajasthan got off to great start as they didn’t loose a wicket till the 12tn over. Just when Lucknow started to crawl back in the game with regular wicket.

RR in deep trouble!

A good catch by KL Rahul! The hero of last game has fallen cheaply. Avesh Khan takes wicket. LSG now in drivers seat. The pitch is certainly not allowing to play freely. RR 107/4 after 16 overs. Royals need 48 runs from 24 balls.

WICKET!!! LSG get Buttler!

Big moment!! Buttler mistimes a pull and Bishnoi runs in from deep mid-wicket to complete the catch. Game on now as RR are 99/3 after 14 overs. They need 56 runs from 36 balls. (req. rate 9.33)

Samson gone!

Samson is run out! Lucknow take another wicket. A bit of yes and no between Buttler and Samson, and the RR skipper has been sold short. If they had stuck to their guns and run straight away, would have made it home.

Stoinis removes Jaiswal!

First wicket for LSG! Jaiswal aimed for a late cut behind square on the off side, but guiding it straight towards Avesh at thigh height on this length ball with significant width. RR 89/1 after 12 overs.

RR vs LSG: RR make a steady start!

Rajasthan Royals are going rather smoothly in the chase. They have scored 73 runs and have all wickets in hand. Jaiswal and Buttler are rotating strike and hitting boundaries regularly. RR are 73/0 after 10 overs, they need 82 runs more!

Royals off to a good start!

The pitch does seem to be a bit two-paced. But RR batters have shown some positive intent. Slower balls are stopping in the wicket! RR reach 47/0 at the end of the powerplat, need 180 runs more!

RR vs LSG : LSG finish with 153!

Lucknow Super Giants managed only 45 runs in the last 5 overs and lost 3 wickets. All three of them in the final over. Two of them were runouts and one caught-behind. LSG finish with 154/7. It seems like Lucknow are 10-15 runs short. Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers for Rajasthan Royals.

The Royals need 154 runs to win. Certainly it is not a belter where you can hit the ball at will. It will require sensible batting. Batters would need to spend some time in the middle. asses the conditions before going for their shots. RR should fancy chasing it but you never know. Lucknow have a lethal bowling attack too and they can create havoc for RR batters too. Another thrillers seems to be on cards.

RR vs LSG: LSG 4-down with Stoinis and Pooran in the middle!

Yuzi Chahal finishes his spell, he has been rather expensive tonight. He conceded 41 runs in his 4 overs, though his last over only costed 5 runs. Good phase for RR. Last 5 overs have yielded them 4 wickets and they only given away 30 runs. LSG 109/4 after 15 overs. How many can they end up with given the pitch being not the easiest to bat on?

WICKET! Hooda perishes playing a big shot!

Ravichandran Ashwin gets his first wicket of the game. He has bowled well and is finally rewarded. Hooda tries to hit a slog sweep but doesn’t middle it and gets more height than distance and Hetmyer completes a stunning catch in the deep.  Fifth successive single-digit score for Hooda. The third wicket falls at the score of 99.

And Ashwin strikes again!! Twice in the over! He has knocked over Kyle Mayers! Mayers plays the off-break on wrong line and is castled. Mayers goes for after an important fifty! LSG 104/4 (14 overs).

Boult gets Badoni!

Badoni was promoted to inforce some momentum. In attempt of doing the same, he shuffles across to scoop but plays it on the stumps. Boult gets a wicket in his final over. LSG 86/2 after 12 overs.

Rahul dismissed, caught Buttler bowled Holder!

Holder bowled this juicy in the slot to KL and he tried smack it but toe-ended the shot. It went Straight to Buttler at long-on. Good over by Holder. There are signs of this pitch being tough to bat on. LSG 83/1 after 11 overs.

LSG get a move on at the halfway stage!

Last three overs have been taken for 36 runs. The pair of KL and Mayers launched themselves against Jason Holder and Yuzvendra Chahal taking them 12 runs and 19 runs in their respective overs. KL Rahul seems to have found his grove as he smashes one for a 103-metre six. LSG 79/0 after 10 overs.

RR vs LSG Powerplay: LSG 37/1

Rajasthan Royals fail to pick a wicket in the powerplay. But they were on the money with the ball. Trent Boult started with maiden and gave only 2 runs in his next over. Kyle Mayers and KL Rahul smashed Boult in his 3rd over. Ashwin ended the powerplay with a 6-run overs. A couple of catches have gone down in the powerplay. The wicket does look a bit two-paced, both batters need to adjust and try scoring a little smoothly.

Toss Update: Rajasthan Royals have won the toss and have opted to field!

I find this pitch on the harder side. It might be a little bit two-paced as well. There’s a nice covering of grass. It might skid on a little. I don’t think we’ll see a lot of bounce. Doesn’t look like a turner. First half of the game may be something for the spinners… suggest Sanjay Manjrekar and Nick Knight in Pitch Report.

Build-Up..

The Lucknow Super Giants will play the Rajasthan Royals in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League 2024. Follow the feed for RR vs LSG, IPL 2024 Match 26 – Live Score and Updates.

Rajasthan Royals are maintaining its outstanding success from the 2022 edition. They are currently at the first position. They have won four of their five matches this season. Lucknow Super Giants are positioned second, having won three of their five matches.

Lucknow Super Giants come into this match on the back of a 2-wicket loss at the hands of Punjab. Rajasthan Royals are on a roll, winning three on the bounce.  Royals hunted down Gujarat’s 177 in their previous outing with hardly any contributions from their openers. The match between the tournament’s top two ranked teams thus far promises to be exciting.

This is the first match of the season at this ground. The venue has only hosted one T20I game. India defeated New Zealand after chasing down a target of 166 in that match.  Previous matches in the IPL indicate that this is an excellent batting surface, yet it helps spinners. The par score here is 175. Due to a low probability of due, batting first is preferable.
