RCB vs RR, IPL 2024 Match 32 – RCB hold nerves to edge past RR in the Royal derby!

Royal Challengers Bangalore will host Rajasthan Royals in the 32nd match of Indian Premier League 2024. RCB would be wearing a green jersey to support the go green initiative at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Refresh to catch all the updates from RCB vs RR clash.

RCB vs RR: Live Score and Update

RCB vs RR: RCB win by 7 runs!

Royal Challengers Bangalore manage to defend 190 despite that 98-run stand between Jaiswal and Padikkal. Royals made some questionable decisions like sending Ashiwn and impact sub ahead of Holder. The decision to run two on the second ball of the last over!.. keeping Jurel away from strike. They have lot of decisions they need to think about!

RCB on the other hand have patched up another win! They win by a whisker but a win nonetheless. Virat Kohli has won two in two now! Stand-in skipper for RCB and he doing the trick for them!

We shift our attention to Eden Gardens now where KKR are taking on CSK! A sea of yellow is there waiting for Dhoni to bat and hit those massive sixes! Will they see him bat? Switch Tabs to find put. Click here to follow the KKR vs CSK game!

Padikkal departs after a 30-ball fifty!

The pressure of Hasaranga’s quite over and DDP had to go for it! He tries to slog Willey but hands a easy catch to Kohli! Padikkal departs but not before playing an brilliant knock! Captain Samson is out in the middle.

Now Jaiswal is gone! RCB are right back into this one! Only 14 runs off the last 3 overs and Jaiswal falls in trying to regain momentum! Two new batters at the crease for Rajasthan Royals now! RR 108/3 (13.4 overs). 82 runs more from 38 balls!

Royals build on good start at the halfway mark!

Last 4 overs have went for 45 runs!  Who needs powerplays at Chinnaswamy kind of approach from both these batters. Jaiswal and Padikkal have ensured their team literally have the noses in front now. RCB need to pick wickets, but unfortunately noone except Hasaranga is looking like taking a wicket! RR 92/1 after 10 overs! They need 98 more runs!

RCB vs RR: Jaiswal-Padikkal take full toll of powerplay!

After Siraj struck early, the two young dashing southpaws of Rajasthan took the attack to Bangalore. They took Maxwell’s first over for 11 runs. The Chinnaswamy is dead silent at the end of the powerplay. RCB has been one of the best teams in the powerplay, hence RR have done well to play out the powerplay with a healthy scoring rate!

RR 47/1 after 6 overs, need 143 more runs from 84 balls!

Siraj strikes early!!

Mohammed Siraj has gone through Buttler’s defence with a beauty! RCB strike early! RR removed Kohli early and now RCB remove Buttler for a duck! RR 1/1 after 1 over.

Impact Player (RCB): Harshal Patel comes in for Faf du Plessis!

RCB vs RR: Innings Break!

50 runs scored and 7 wickets lost since Faf du Plessis’ run-out. RR have done well to comeback. They gave only 33 runs in the last 5 overs! RCB have ended with 189/9. Given the dry wicket and a day game, the total seems substantial! RCB would want their spinners to come to the party!

Rajasthan Royals need 190 runs to win from 120 balls. They have a fiery order, if they get going they can make a mockery of this total. RR would hope their openers give them a dashing start like always against a fiery RCB pace-attack!

Chahal in the 17th over: 0,1,W,0.W,1!

RCB’s innings is falling apart. Lomror fails yet again, and the RCB loses wickets. On a length outside off, Lomror looks for a huge hit down the ground, miscues it straight up, and Padikkal from long-off races in to take a great catch. Bad made worse as Prabhudessai is run-out, caught guilty of ball watching! 2 runs and 2 wickets in the Yuzi Chahal over! The score is 164/6 after 17 overs.

RCB vs RR: Royals gets the set batters!

The Royals have broken the dangerous stand. But the duo did put on the highest partnership for the third wicket for RCB (127 runs), bettering their own partnership against CSK a couple of games earlier. It required a moment of brilliance from Jaiswal who struck a direct hit to catch Faf short of his crease. They also dismissed Maxwell on the last ball of the 15th over. Maxi went for the reverse sweep and hit it straight to Holder. This has bought some time for Samson, a little breathing space to decide who’ll bowl when in the last 5. 2 from Chahal, 2 from Holder and 1 from Sandeep remaining!

RCB 156/4 after 15 overs!.. Can they get 220?

100-run stand up!

Royal Challengers were pushed in an corner by Boult’s early swing. And the pair of Faf-Maxi came to their rescue once again. They also bring the 100-run partnership in just 55 balls. Both the batters have crossed their fifties and are looking dangerous. Nothing seems to be working for Samson and his bowlers! But they need to break this partnership soon, or else they might find themselves chasing a very huge score! RCB 128/2 after 12 overs.

RCB vs RR: Powerplay Ends!

Great comeback by RCB after those two quick wickets in the powerplay. Once again Faf and Maxwell getting things back on track. They came out attacking and have revived the powerplay once again. The Big Show is in the mood taking on every bowler that comes to bowl! RCB 62/2 after 6 overs.

On this day, 10 years ago, RCB scored the highest total in IPL at this very ground. Since 49 and 68 are safely crossed and the pitch too seems a good one to bat.. Can we have a repeat of 263??

Boult strikes again!

Boult gets another one! Shahbaz gone! He pulls but with no control and loops it to Jaiswal. RCB fans look away. It’s 23rd April!! Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis in the middle. RCB 22/2 after 3 overs.

What a Start!

Golden duck for Kohli! The crowd have been sushed into deathly silence at the Chinnaswamy. So plumb that Kohli walks off. Did not even look at du Plessis. An inswinger from Boult pitches full and in middle comes in sharply to beat Kohli as he was flicking it. RCB is 2/1 after 1 overs. Also, this is Boult’s 100th wicket in the IPL! 46% of his wickets have come in the powerplay.

STAT: Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck in their last go-green game too, vs SRH at Wankhede.

Build-Up..

The 32nd match of the IPL 2024 will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore between the Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals. Follow the feed for RCB vs RR: Live Score and Update.

The Royal Challengers have won three of their six games this season and are now sixth in the points chart. The Royals have won four of their first six games this season and now lead the points table.

Bangalore would enter the contest fresh off a victory over the Sam Curran-led Punjab Kings. Rajasthan Royals, on the other side, were defeated at home by the Lucknow Super Giants in their last encounter. The team will be eager to return to winning ways when they face Bangalore next, to maintain their lead in the IPL 2024 Points Table.

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore has a typical batter-friendly surface. The team batting first would like to put up a big total since a high-scoring run chase is possible. Bowling first on such a surface might be a prudent decision.
