Interestingly, Devdutt used to play the game just for time pass at first. His father had noticed his son’s talent when he was only 3-years-old. He was around 9 when he got serious about the game. At 11 he joined the Karnataka Institute of Cricket. There he was coached by Mohammad Naseeruddin. He was very focused on the game and used to work really hard. Resultantly, he got to play at different age-level cricket tournaments. His performances in Cooch Behar Trophy and Vinoo Mankad were brilliant. As a result, he was selected to play for Bellary Tuskers in the Karnataka Premier League, 2017. His 72 off 53 against Bengaluru Blasters, got him instant fame.
