Prabhsimran Singh smashes maiden IPL century, guides Punjab Kings to 167!

Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh hit his maiden IPL century against Delhi Capitals in Match 59 of the IPL 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Prabhsimran slams a 61-ball ton!

Prabhsimran Singh scored a brilliant hundred for Punjab Kings in a crisis. Punjab Kings lost their first wicket at the score of 10 of their skipper Shikhar Dhawan. After this, the downfall of wickets didn’t stop. At the score of 45, Punjab lost their two hard-hitter batsmen namely Liam Livingston and Jitesh Sharma. Liam Livingston and Jitesh scored 4 and 5 respectively.

But Prabhsimran Singh controlled one side and scored 103 off 65. He was bowled out by Mukesh Kumar in the 19th over. He also hit 10 fours and 6 sixes in his magnificent inning. In the first 30 balls, he hit only 27 runs. But, in the next 35 balls, he hit magnificent 76 runs and accelerated the scoreboard.  Prabshimran Singh scored 62% of his team’s runs against Delhi Capitals today. Only Shikhar Dhawan (69%) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (65%) have a higher such percentage in an IPL game this season. Except for his fabulous inning, the remaining batters scored only 51 off 55.
