Mukesh Ambani, Sundar Pichai and Ravi Shastri enjoy The Hundred 2022 match

London Spirit won the match by 52 runs.

Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL), Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri were spotted together in a cricket match at Lord’s Cricket Stadium.

On Monday, August 8, Ambani and Pichai attended the Men’s Hundred 2022 match between the hosts London Spirit and Manchester Originals at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. The image of the trio watching the game together was tweeted by Shastri on his official Twitter handle. He wrote:

“In the august company of two people who love their cricket@HomeOfCricket- Mr Mukesh Ambani and Mr@sundarpichai at @thehundred @SkyCricket”

Ravi Shastri is in the UK for a commentary stint as a Sky Sports broadcaster for the ongoing second edition of The Hundred. However, It’s unclear at this time why Mukesh Ambani and Sundar Pichai are in the United Kingdom, either personally or professionally. 

Meanwhile, the Google boss Sundar Pichai is a hardcore cricket enthusiast. Pichai was also seen in attendance along with Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar during the World Cup 2019 league clash between England and India. Talking of cricket interests of Mukesh Ambani, he owns the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians.

London Spirit beat Manchester Originals by 52 runs

Talking of the match between the London Spirit and the Manchester Originals. The London-based team posted a competitive total of 160/6 in their allotted 100 balls. Their innings relied on the important knocks of 34* runs by Kieron Pollard and 41 runs from opener Zak Crawley. Moreover, Eoin Morgan, the skipper added 37 runs.

As a response, Manchester was thoroughly outclassed. Only opener Phil Salt showed some grit, striking 36 runs. Jos Buttler, the team’s captain, continued to perform poorly, only scoring six runs. The London Spirit won easily by 52 runs as the Manchester Originals were bowled out for 108. Spirit earned their second victory of the current campaign as a result, topping the standings with four points.
