Mohammad Amir Bashes PCB as Pakistan Loses to Zimbabwe in the T20 WC

The latest defeat of Pakistan at the hands of Zimbabwe in the crucial campaign of the T20 World Cup has irked their fans and cricketing fraternity alike. Within mere hours of the defeat, social media is flooded with tweets criticizing many aspects of the team. Amidst those criticizing, are many prominent names of Pakistani cricket. And moving his tirade on the selection row forward, Mohammad Amir has come up with another chaotic tweet.

Mohammad Amir became a true pace prodigy for Pakistan until he was embroiled in a fixing row. It didn’t take much time then for the prodigy to turn into a disgraced cricketer as ICC imposed a 5-year ban on him. Amir never really had a real return to the game after the incident. However, none of it now holds back Amir from expressing his viewpoint on the current state of the Pakistani cricket team. Amir had tweeted earlier about the team selection for T20 World Cup directly taking aim at the committee.

And now that Pakistan is virtually out of the tournament after the sour defeat from Zimbabwe, Amir is out there validating his expression. The pacer has called for the removal of PCB chairman, Ramiz Raja from the post. Criticizing the selection in strong words, Amir tweeted, “from day one I said poor selection ub is cheez ki responsibility kon le ga I think it’s time to get rid of so called chairman jo pcb ka khuda bana hwa hai and so called chief selector.”

Pakistan Team Receives Severe Flak After The Latest Defeat

This time Amir is not alone in questioning the selection process. Former lethal pacer Shoaib Akhtar has also posted a video on the platform calling out the players “average”. Akhtar has deemed the defeat “embarrassing” as he has called the whole selection process and the selected players as mere averages. It is yet to be seen who amongst the Pakistani World Cup lot is at their direct aim.

However, at the moment Mohammad Rizwan is the one facing the most ire for his performance. Many have opined that Rizwan is a selfish player who’s solely interested in setting personal records. Others called out Rizwan for occupying the space of deserving players on the team. A similar scenario was witnessed in the defeat of Pakistan in the Asia Cup finals. The match saw Rizwan becoming the highest-scorer of the tournament surpassing Kohli. However, the same match saw him getting there real slow, ultimately, causing Pakistan to lose against Sri Lanka.
