KKR vs PBKS: Live Score and Update

KKR vs PBKS: Russell Muscle wins it for KKR!

Rinku Singh finishes off another tense finish for the Kolkata Knight Riders. It felt PBKS are just coming back but it wasn’t to be! Set up by Nitish Rana’s fifty and Russell’s cameo and finished by brilliant Rinku Singh. But a ton of appreciation for Arshdeep Singh who bowled a brilliant last over. Punjab Kings put up a good fight but it wasn’t enough! The question that will haunt them would be whether they should have bowled Harpreet Brar in place of Livingstone?.. KKR win a thriller on the last ball!

KKR vs PBKS: Req rate above 11.5 now!

Only 46 runs scored in overs 11 – 15! Punjab Kings are taking a firm hold of the game now! They must not concede 36 in last two like KKR! Nathan Ellis has been terrific tonight with his pace variations. Andre Russell and Nitish Rana are at the crease as they chase 58 runs from 30 balls. Rinku Singh still to come, KKR are 122/3 after 15 overs. This isn’t the easiest of decks so chasing 12-13 an over at the death ain’t going to be easy. But a little dew was spotted around and they have a powerful batting line-up to follow! A tense finish is on the cards

KKR vs PBKS: PBKS tighten the game!

Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar have started well for Punjab Kings. They have bowled quite overs here and Brar has picked the big wicket of Roy. Last 3 overs have seen only 13 runs. A pretty even contest this, no one has ran away in the game and both teams are in the hunt! KKR are 76/2 after 10 overs. They need 104 runs from 60 balls.

KKR vs PBKS: KKR off to a decent start!

Gurbaz was trapped in front by Nathan Ellis. Nitish Rana walks out to bat at No. 3 as  Venkatesh Iyer can bat after 10.04 pm after having been off the field for a significant amount of time injured. This has been a good start for KKR! The openers took toll against the left arm pacers of PBKS. KKR are 52/1 after 6 overs. They need 128 runs from 84 balls. We could be in for a tricky chase!

Impact Substitution!

Jason Roy has walked out to open the chase as KKR’s impact sub replacing Suyash Shara. Nathan Ellis enters as the impact player in place of Bhanuka Rajapaksa for Punjab Kings.

KKR vs PBKS: Shahrukh-Brar finish well for PBKS!

The KKR seamers have conceded 36 runs in the last two overs. This has allowed Punjab Kings to end with 179/7 after 20 overs. The late blitz of Shahrukh Khan, Harpreet Brar has given PBKS a strong finish. The innings was anchored by Shikhar Dhawan who registered his 50th 50+ score tonight after early wickets of Prabhsimran, Livingstone, Rajapaksa!

The target for Kolkata Knight Riders is 180 runs from 120 balls. This a par-score and KKR remain the favourates to chase this, despite conceding too many in the last couple of overs. They would hope Roy-Gurbaz go hard in the powerplay and give them a strong start! PBKS would hope their spinners can extract something from the wicket and pick wickets, something they have struggled with this season! It’s a must-win for both teams and they’ll feel the pressure!

KKR vs PBKS: PBKS lose wickets at the wrong time!

Just when a partnership was taking shape, PBKS lost Jitesh Sharma to a brilliant catch by Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Shikhar Dhawan registered his 50th 50+ score but was dismissed soon after. PBKS need to finish well, A score of 175 is par on this track! PBKS are 124/5 after 15 overs.

KKR vs PBKS: KKR strangle PBKS!

PBKS in rebuild mode now. There is turn for the spinners but not much grip, both Suyash Sharma and Varun have bowled well. Definitely a pitch for the spinners. KKR spinners have done well to contain both batters, as only 24 runs have came since the powerplay. PBKS are 82/3 after 10 overs.

KKR vs PBKS: Powerplay done!

Punjab Kings have scored 58 runs but Kolkata Knight Riders have picked up three big wickets. KKR would be the happier side in the powerplay. It started with three-boundaries in the first over for Punjab Kings but Harshit Rana struck in his first over to remove Prabhsimran and then the wickets tumbled regularly. Jitesh Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are in the middle and with PBKS 58/3 after 6 overs. Both captains felt the wicket was a bit slow and dry, and the wicket is showing early signs that it may not be a 200 wicket!
