Dewald Brevis is a South-African top-order batsman who exceptionally sprang up for his performance in the CSA domestic T20 knockout competition. Brevis also had two other teams interested in him during the beginning of the bidding i.e., Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings but as the amount of the purchase started accelerating too fast, both the franchises decided to bow out just when, Mumbai Indians stepped in and got hold of the young cricketer for a total amount of Rs 3 Cr. However, the base price for Dewald Brevis was set on 20 Lakh.

Also, during the recent U-19 World Cup, Brevis was the highest run-getter of the tournament with 506 runs from six matches. In addition, he also became the batsman with most runs in a single edition of the U-19 World Cup. There he scored 46 off 25 balls for his team. Brevis idolizes AB De Villiers and is a big fan of Mr. 360. He is also nicknamed as ‘Baby AB’ as he recreates his cricketing and playing shots quite a lot. Mumbai Indians also made the highest purchase of today’s evening i.e., Ishan Kishan at a whopping large amount of 15.25 Cr.
