DC Grasps Chetan Sakariya From RR At 4.20 Cr:Â
Delhi Capitals have bought the left arm pacer, Chetan Sakariya at a total amount of Rs 4.20 Cr in the resumed auction from yesterday going on live at Bengaluru. Rajasthan Royals tried their utmost best in order to retain their fast pacer but Delhi Capitals stepped in and seized the cricketer away from RR’s grip. Although, not only DC and RR but Sakariya also invited interest from two other franchises. They were Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings. As a matter of fact, RCB and PBKS started the bidding war within themselves at first. However, RR stepped in late after RCB decided to move out of the battle. After PBKS showed signs of bowing out, DC stepped in the bidding conflict and RR couldn’t go ahead of 4.20 Cr.

Chetan Sakariya is a left arm fast bowler who has formerly played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021. He had taken 14 wickets in 14 matches last year of RR with an economy of 8.91. His best bowling stat was 3-31. Rajasthan Royals were looking keen to retain the cricketer back in the team, but unfortunately for them, Delhi Capitals won the battle and welcomed Chetan Sakariya into their team. Along with Sakariya, DC also made another purchase on the Day 2 of the Mega Auction i.e., Syed Khaleel Ahmed for Rs 5.25 Cr.
