The league stage of IPL 2024 ended with the defending champions knocking Royal Challengers Bangalore out of the competition. The 70th game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium saw Gujrat Titans beating the home side to help Mumbai Indians through to the play-offs. GT, CSK, LSG and MI are the four teams to qualify for the play-offs!
The curtain comes down on one of the most closely contested league stages in IPL history. Three teams were battling for one position on the last day of the round-robin stage. In fact the last week of league stage started with nine teams still fighting for play-offs and all four slots were up for grabs.

IPL 2024 Final Week!
Gujrat Titans knocked-out Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday to become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. Rajasthan Royals won a close game to knock Punjab Kings out and keep their own hopes alive! With only four games remaining six teams were still fighting for the remaining three spots!
Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants locked their spots with a win on Saturday. The two teams defeated Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively in their last league game to book their slots. The loss knocked Kolkata Knight Riders out of the competition and left three teams fighting for one spot!

There were a lots of possibilities on the final league day, but Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to knock Rajasthan Royals out of the competition. It was down to two teams and the final league-stage game! Royal Challengers had to defeat Titans to qualify, and if they failed Mumbai Indians would go through! Virat’s record 7th ton helped RCB post 197/5. In reply, It was another classy hundred by Shuman Gill to chase the total down and to knock RCB out. The top four teams at the end of the league stage were – Gujrat Titans, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians.
IPL 2024 Play-offs!
After 70 games and 8 weeks, We are now down to only four teams who’ll be fighting for the title in the last week of the tournament. The two most successful teams of the IPL and two newbies will battle it out. If the league stage was any indication, one would expect a thrilling and more intense play-off week! Here is the play-off schedule:
Qualifier 1 (23 May, 7:30 PM): Gujrat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings at Chennai
Eliminator (24 May, 7:30 PM ): Lucknow Super Giants vs Mumbai Indians at Chennai
